About Us

Rustic Oak was created in 2005 by Nick Halls and we started as a Sole Trader business. Since 2005, Rustic Oak has grown and matured, like the oak it uses, and continues to do so. Nick designs, creates and builds all the Oak Beam Range furniture. In October 2012, we changed the structure of the business and we are now Rustic Oak Limited but still trade as Rustic Oak. Nick and his wife Rebecca are the Directors of Rustic Oak Limited.

Rustic Oak has a full time carpenter, Douglas Chambers to help in the workshop assisting Nick with the physical production of the Oak Beam Range furniture and other bespoke designs.

All items in the Oak Beam Range are made to order to allow for each customers individual size, style and finish requirements. As well as the bespoke range, Rustic Oak also offers a vast array of other furniture items as can be seen here on our website.

Nick’s wife Rebecca also works for the business on a part-time basis to help with the administration, book keeping and marketing.

Rustic Oak is based on a farm outside Chelmsford in Essex. We also have a Show Room on site that is available for any customers to come and view samples of our products or to get ideas of what is possible. This is by appointment only, so please call us (01245 224357 / 07855 808555) in advance if you plan to come out so we can ensures someone is about to meet you.
